http://25.media.tumblr.com/tumblr_l6lltunnGc1qadknpo1_500.jpgMaira-ira is also known as Blue Lagoon is located in Malingay Cove in Sitio Malingay. This hidden bay is at Maira-ira Point, and is situated in a half moon shaped bay along with its fine white sands that contrast so strikingly with the blue and some say cerulean blue waters. This island is nestled in its confines is an unspoiled, white-sand cove that has yet to become popular with the mainstream beach-combing crowd.

On calm days, when the notorious Ilocos surf is taking a break, the waters off the cove can be still as a pond, mirroring the azure sky to form a stunning blue loch.
