Cebu Most Visited Tourist Spots
Cebu is one of the most popular destinations in the Philippines for foreign tourists. It is a booming metropolitan area with all the conveniences of a modern city. Basilica Del Santo Nino: It contains a statue of the Santo Niño (Holy Child) that regarded as the oldest religious relic in the Philippines.
Magellan's Cross: The cross given by Magellan to Raja Humabon, located near the Basilica Del Santo Nino.
Cebu Cathedral: The birthplace of catholicism in Asia. Also has a museum with many historical artifacts from the cathedral.
Fort San Pedro: The first, oldest, and smallest Spanish fort in the Philippines. It is located near the port area near Pier 1.
The Mactan Shrine: The shrine to local chieftan Lapu Lapu, who lead the defense of his island in 1521 that resulted in the death of Magellan. Mactan Shrine is located in Lapu-Lapu City.
Tops: An overlook point at the top of the island. A good place to look over the city.
